Double cabochon heart-shaped cut

I am Fujimori, the owner.
Today is the Doll's Festival, but even though we are in March, the days are cold and chilly from the feet up....
Well, I recently purchased some stones in Tucson, USA, and got some stones that were polished by a German supplier,
Among them,Heart-shaped stone with double cabochons (cut with bulges on both sides)There are

Clockwise from top left: turquoise, green amethyst, orange tourmaline, yellow tourmaline, and inca rose.

There are not so many double-sided cabochon stones themselves,
When it comes to heart shapes, it is more limited,
In addition, the stone is cut asymmetrically, with the tip of the heart flowing slightly to the side,
So far I have only seen cuts from German suppliers.
It would be technically difficult and there would be a lot of loss due to cutting,
Even though it is a semi-precious stone, it is a good price.

We have recently received an inquiry from a customer in Kyushu specifying that cut,
We took pictures of what we had in stock, and you made your selections via email communication.

The one you chose is one of the two above, finished as a pendant,
The pink stone is Inca Rose (Rhodochrosite).

This one was purchased in Germany some years ago, and the stone itself makes me want to put it in my mouth and eat it,
It's a delicious stone, and I have a lot of feelings about that encounter, though,
This item was very difficult to make into a pendant.

As you can see from the side, the stone is bulged on both sides, so it was difficult to fasten it to the stone seat,
The stone is inserted from behind the base, and the claw is made with a round wire so that it can be bent easily and will not snag after the stone is clamped,
The structure is held down, and consideration is given so that the stone can be seen beautifully from both the front and the back.

The Inca Rose above, though, was made into a pendant without piercing the stone,
This smoky quartz pendant, which we created before, is a good example,
A hole is drilled in the top of the stone and a beak through which the chain is threaded is attached.
Since the stone is transparent, I wondered if the holes would stand out from the outside,
The surface of the double-sided cabochon has complex today's phase, so light is diffused and reflected,
The finish is almost unrecognizable as perforated.

The stones alone, though, are a series of very beautiful double-cabochon semi-precious stones,
It is fun to try various things in the production process.
