Career Seminar Class at Momofu Junior High School in Ishinomaki

I am Fujimori, the representative of ADAM.

On September 19, I recently went to Momofu Junior High School in Ishinomaki to teach a career seminar.

Supporting Children's Learning and Activities in TohokuConsortium "Project YuiThis year was the third time for us to participate in this event organized by
We were invited again to this wonderful event where junior high school students heard about various occupations in order to think about their future.

Classes will be held in two 45-minute sessions, the third and fourth periods.

First, they will see the actual jewelry and gemstones they have designed, as well as their usual work,
I told my personal story of how I got into the jewelry business.

In particular, everyone was amazed at the interesting shapes created by the earth in the story of gemstones in the rough.

The following is what we told the junior high school students about the appeal of working in the jewelry industry.

We are a product that one person can "do it all" from customer service to design, production, and delivery.

I can take part in happy (positive) situations in various people's lives.

The power and charm of nature can be strongly felt, leaned on, allied with, and sculpted.

interpoint (interword separation) To make good jewelry, it does not matter what education, science or arts, nationality, language, gender, work history, etc.
We can work without being influenced by the world's values and preconceived notions.Instead, you will be tested on your own attractiveness and ability.

And again this year, the second half of the class was devoted to hands-on jewelry making.

The real engraving and hammer used by professional craftsmen will be used to engrave your initials on a silver pendant.

Even the boys who didn't seem that interested when we were talking seemed to be satisfied with the work they were doing.

The "teachers" have matured since last year and are better able to allocate time and complete the class, including the work, in a timely manner!

A total of 24 lecturers gathered again this year!
Pilot, Paralympic athlete, newspaper editorial writer, hairdresser, translator, dance and yoga instructor, and president of a local codfish shop,
They are amazing people who are active on the front lines of various industries.

Meeting all the lecturers was also a really valuable time.

And at the end of the day, we enjoyed another delicious school lunch with the junior high school students!

It was a special menu for the 15th night, with autumn swordfish, chestnut stew, and rabbit jelly!
It was delicious!

Junior high school students have the innocence of having been elementary school students until recently and the more mature side of soon-to-be high school students and adults,
It's a combination of both, though I very much feel the difficulty of communicating something,
That said, I feel strongly that once again there is no deception in what I say about my work.

Thanks to this, it is also a good opportunity to reflect on ourselves,
More than that, it was the sparkling eyes of the junior high school students as they worked on the jewelry and the way they enjoyed themselves,
I was very encouraged to rediscover the fundamental appeal of jewelry and craftsmanship.

If we get another opportunity next year, we would like to prepare more interesting classes.
Thank you very much.
