In this second installment of the Sangenjaya lunch recommendations by owner Fujimori, ADAM Adan's selection of custom-made jewelry, we will introduce you to some of the best restaurants in Sangenjaya,Tonkatsu" is a lunchtime staple! The following is a list of the most common problems with the
Chazawa Street, which connects Sangenjaya and Shimokitazawa, is actually a fierce battleground for "tonkatsu" among those in the know. Within 100 meters from the station, there are three restaurants specializing in tonkatsu (each of them is an established restaurant that has been in business for a long time).
All of them are delicious in their own way, but if I had to choose one of them as my favorite pork cutlet restaurant in Sangenjaya, it would be "Kawazen," which I will introduce here.

It is a pork cutlet shop operated by a butcher shop that has been in business for more than 30 years on Chazawa-dori in Sangenjaya.
The first floor facing the street is a butcher shop, selling delicious meat sold by measure that is different from supermarket meat, including the famous homemade roast pork. On the second floor is a pork cutlet shop.
As store manager Fujimori has lived in Sangenjaya for more than 30 years, he remembers that in the past (more than 20 years ago?), only the pork cutlet shop was located at the back of the alley. Nowadays, the store is located at the top of the stairs behind the butcher shop.

The lunchtime-only special lunch menu includes three types of dishes: tonkatsu set meal, menchikatsu set meal, and katsuju (heavy cutlet).
The main tonkatsu set meal is 800 yen.
In the store's introduction,
The set menus are made with the finest domestic pork, cut into thick slices and deep-fried twice in a large pan, so they are fluffy and crispy. The rice is Koshihikari produced in Niigata. The miso soup is made from Hidaka kelp and thickly sliced mackerel shavings. The sauce is also homemade. The mayonnaise dressing is also handmade from eggs and has been well received by our customers. We are sure you will love our mayonnaise dressing.
The crispy and juicy tonkatsu is always delicious.
The Katsuju (pork cutlet) set meal is also very satisfying, so I always have a hard time deciding whether to have the pork cutlet set meal or the Katsuju (pork cutlet) set meal.
During lunch time, customers never stop coming until the restaurant closes at 3:00 p.m., so be prepared to share a table.
