At the end of January, I visited the Tucson Gem Show, the world's largest gem show, held in Tucson, Arizona, USA!
This is my second visit since last year, and it was an exciting business trip before I left because I spent almost all of my time, except for sleeping, looking at loose jewelry and talking about jewelry.
We have met many attractive loose pieces this year, and I would like to introduce them to you.
Arizona is known for the Grand Canyon.
The land area of the United States is so vast that a sense of distance is often lost, but the Grand Canyon is located in the northern part of the state, and Tucson, which we visited this time, is located in the southern part.
During the Gem Show, tent sites like this one appear throughout Tucson's vast landscapes, where countless "stones," from gemstones to their gemstones and fossils, are gathered.
We go shopping around the main venue in the convention center, but if you go a little further out into the suburbs, you will find many tents scattered around the market, as you can see here.
The tented area looks like a lot of fun, but first, let's go to the main venue to look for the ruth we are looking for!

Many exhibitors offer beautifully cut loose pieces.

This is the main venue for exhibitors from outside the U.S., and there were many materials being handled in various booths, creating a somewhat chaotic situation.
On the other hand, everyone is fired up from the first morning of the first day, as this is the place to look for bargains!

Jet lag was a thing of the past as I stared at Ruth, and the two and a half days of stocking up went by in the blink of an eye...
Yes, we were all looking forward to seeing the small cactus we found near the venue last year (although it was huge in Japan) and wondering how big it would be when we came to Tucson next year.
I even gave them Mexican names, Jack and Jose, and I am very attached to them... Here are some pictures to compare their growth at the end..!

If I had to say, I would say that the round one in the middle is a little plump...,
We were all astonished by the cactus's fast pace of growth, as we had expected it to grow in a blink of an eye!
The loose pieces we purchased this time are being recut and processed into jewelry, so we will introduce them to you as soon as they are ready.
