Live Report】Open-air Music Festival "The Sound of Opa" in Gifu held in a marginalized community

Hello, I am Nakai, an Adan staff member.

Nakai has been whispered about as an overly active staff member,
We have participated in a wonderful event that is a fitting end to this summer.

It's called...
The Sound of Koshinami

Koshiwa" is written and read as "Oppa".

Located on the border between Gifu and Fukui prefectures, this depopulated area is designated as a marginal village by the government.
How only two people are registered as residents!

The outdoor festival was held in such an abandoned village.
This is the first time.

A friend of mine is the organizer of the event, so I was very excited to go all the way from Tokyo.

For participants coming from Tokyo, a Hiace was prepared for them,
9-seater X 2 cars, all in "Hajimemashite" condition.
The car first began with self-introductions.

People gather for outdoor festivals in remote, marginal villages, six hours each way.
No Life No music people, as well as the exciting team who love events and festivals,
A sense of camaraderie develops as we share time in a small van with all the unique participants.

We got caught in a huge traffic jam and as a result, it took 10 hours to get to Koshinami...

Priceless!

By the time we arrived, everyone was friendly and it was a great time (although my back was dying).

What a venue, a shrine!
What a stage was set up in the precincts of the temple!

The shrine was very mysterious and beautiful.
There are only two inhabitants...a shrine in such a village.

On that day alone, I was surrounded by young people and had a strong presence.

The weather forecast for the day was rain.

During the drive, we were also hit by torrential rain,
I feared what would happen to the upcoming festival....
The rain stopped by the time we started and the weather managed to hold off until dawn when we finished!

I didn't have the energy to do all, and was fast asleep after 2:00.
When I woke up early this morning, it was raining.

Lovely countryside.
Rainy weather is also wonderful.

I heard that there is "Monet's Pond" about an hour's drive from here!
The Tokyo group had a tight and hard schedule with a 10-hour return trip.
I went straight home after stopping by the hot springs, but next time I would like to come back to the countryside to be healed and see the sights.

This was the first time,
We are looking forward to next year!
