concept

Commitment to full custom-made

ADAM was founded in 1970 as a small metal engraving studio, and has been delivering one-of-a-kind, original jewelry to customers one by one by hand in a style that has remained unchanged for over 50 years.

We respond to our customers' wishes in the best possible way by gathering our skills and passion, and by performing the entire process from design to material selection, production, and finishing in a total manner. This is the style of ADAM, which insists on handmade products down to the smallest detail.

The name "ADAM" is derived from the sculptor ADAM Henri Georges (1904-1967), who studied under the founder, Pan Fujimori, when he studied in France. The name is engraved as a sign of a store specializing in custom-made jewelry, inheriting European techniques and spirit.

History - Traditional Techniques

50 years of history cultivated based on traditional production methods

Having built up a history of more than 50 years since its establishment, ADAM has used its extensive experience and skilled techniques to introduce the forging method, a traditional metal engraving technique, as well as the casting method, in which metal is made by pouring it into a wax mold.
ADAM has inherited the metal-engraving techniques learned in France by its predecessor, and has also adopted the unique Italian metal-engraving technique by Takashi Fujimori, the current head of ADAM.
With traditional European techniques as the foundation of ADAM, we also focus on training craftsmen who will carry on the techniques.

Concept of the logo mark

As a symbol that ADAM will continue to pass on the traditional techniques it has inherited since its founding while pursuing new jewelry, the logo mark is based on the mark where the word "ADAM" has been engraved on a copper plate using a trowel.

About Awards

Award-winning jewelry design

Takashi Fujimori, President of ADAM, inherited his father, a sculptor and metal engraver. He went to Florence, Italy to study jewelry design and production at two schools, Alchimia (contemporary jewelry school) and Perceo (Florence traditional engraving school).
He was first awarded the New Designer Excellence Award at the Japan Jewelry Design Award 2008, the most prestigious jewelry contest in the industry sponsored by the Japan Jewelry Association (JJA), and in the following year, 2009, he won both the Japan Jewelry Designers Association President Award and the Tokyo Governor Award in two major categories at the same award. Since then, he has been recognized for his high sense of style by winning and being selected for the same award for three consecutive years, as well as being selected for the "26th Publicly Offered 2010 Japan Jewelry Art Exhibition".

ADAM jewelry has been featured in fashion and specialty magazines such as "JAPAN PRECIOUS".
Furthermore, in addition to introducing our jewelry, our custom-made and repair techniques have been introduced on TV programs and in various other media.

About Materials

Unique and carefully selected materials

At ADAM, our representative personally goes to overseas locations (Italy, Germany, Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, the United States, etc.) to directly purchase loose stones to be used in jewelry. By selecting each piece strictly by hand, we do not compromise on the type and quality of the loose stones, and we strive to achieve affordable prices.
ADAM also prepares the most suitable base metal for each piece of jewelry in our atelier. We use hard base metal for the arms, which require durability, and flexible base metal for the claws of the stone holder, which hold the loose stone in place. In addition, we can produce jewelry in various colors of gold, such as white gold, pink gold, lime gold, and champagne gold, as well as platinum, such as Pt950 and Pt1000 (platinum pure), according to the customer's wishes.

About Design

Original design that infuses sensitivity and experience

When you purchase custom-made jewelry at ADAM, our exclusive designer, who is experienced in both designing and manufacturing, creates a new design drawing for each order, listening to your wishes one by one. We take the same amount of time to draw each piece of jewelry as we do for the actual jewelry making process. Our advisors act as jewelry coordinators for those who do not have a specific design image in mind, those who tend to be biased in the design and atmosphere of their items, and those who are looking for a type of jewelry that they do not have.

About Production

Jewelry making by hand with skill and knowledge

All of ADAM's custom-made jewelry is produced in our own atelier. ADAM does not use ready-made frames as used in general jewelry specialty stores, but instead, each piece of jewelry is carefully handmade with the highest possible attention to the metal engraving technique, which is the processing of the base metal itself.
The craftsmen who make the products are ADAM's exclusive craftsmen, who boast old and new skills and knowledge, including valuable traditional techniques from both Japan and Europe, and the latest modeling techniques using CAD. Some craftsmen are also active as engraving artists and offer design proposals unique to their creators.

On our first wedding anniversary, I gave my wife a ring that would last 10 years. Since then, I have added one diamond every year for seven years now. It was made to fit the shape of my wedding ring, so it is easy to wear and my wife loves it. When our child was born, we also had a birthstone placed inside. There are several designers and craftsmen in the workshop, so they are able to respond to various ideas and requests. I visit every year and the staff is also very cheerful and pleasant.
