I went to see Nikkoukisuge at Kurumayama Kogen (Kurumayama Plateau) in Kirigamine, Shinshu.
It was still at the beginning of blooming, about 30-40%, but it was very pretty.

What kind of flower is Nikkokisuge?
It is an alpine plant of the lily family, famous for Kirigamine and Oze, but can be seen here and there in Shinshu besides Kirigamine.
Once you see a colony of Nikkoukisuge flowers blooming all over the area, it is a sight to behold. One flower wilts one day and another opens the next day.
Kurumayama Plateau, together with the white birch forests of Yachiho Plateau, was selected as one of the "Lover's Mecca Project" in 2006.
It has been recognized as one of the "holy places for lovers.
Along the way, small purple flowers bloom unnoticed, making us forget our daily fatigue.
