Asia's largest jewelry show, held annually in Hong Kong
HONG KONG JEWELLERY & GEM FAIR 2012
I went sightseeing to the
I go to a big exhibition in Tokyo twice a year, but it is incomparable in scale.
The jewelry show in Thailand, which I had been to before, was massive, but the size and turnout exceeded that of the other shows I had been to.
First, the venue is divided into two parts.
The main venue is the Convention Center in the Central Business District on Hong Kong Island.
The 5th floor is filled with booths! I was surprised at the sheer number of people.
The convention center is pictured in the center.
Before, blog postThe Japan Jewelry Association booth was introduced at the
Adan representative Fujimori's 2009 Japan Jewelry Design Award-winning work was on display!
Photography is not allowed in the exhibition hall, but we kindly received a photo - thank you!
The main venue alone is large enough.
Another exhibition hall near the airport has many stones from all over the world.
This venue alone is larger than any exhibition held in Japan!
Most of the visitors were from the local area, Hong Kong, and neighboring China and Korea.
In the midst of all this, there were a few vendors from Japan here and there.
Customers weren't just watching, they were seen bumming around and buying here and there.
Hong Kong seemed to have a good economy!
The brochure I received. It was heavy...
And anyway, the food was delicious in Hong Kong.
Local food: Cha Siu Fan (叉燒飯). HK$27 = about 270 yen. Cheap!
It was worth the trip, as I was able to get some idea of the market trends in Asia!
In terms of design, the Indian and Turkish jewelry was very interesting and interesting.
Next time I would like to go there with a little more time to spare!
