MITUBACI Workshop] I experienced making a silver ring.

Hello, this is Shigeta from Adan Staff.

I experienced making silver rings at MITUBACI, a brand run by Adan's Atelier.

We would like to introduce you to this workshop.

In the honeybee workshop,

Making silver rings

Making silver bangles

You can experience three different types of rings: K18 champagne gold ring making, K18 gold ring making, and K18 champagne gold ring making.

These three, as well as surface treatment and engraving, can be made in your own way.

I decided to make a silver ring.

A craftsman will always be by your side to teach you how to make it.

After first deciding on the material, ring width, and size, the first step is to engrave the inside of the ring.

It is a process that suddenly makes me nervous.

There are so many different types of engravings that it is hard to choose the right one.

I was attracted by the picture of Mt. Fuji, so I typed Mt. Fuji and the clouds around it.

For lovers or friends, we recommend initials or anniversaries.

Once the engraving is done, we become attached to the bullion.

When metal is heated, it softens and changes shape more easily.

Once the metal is softened, the core metal is used to pound it into a round shape.

After rounding the metal according to the size of the ring, the craftsman checks it once.

I had the tips cut with a thread saw so that the two ends of the ring would fit snugly together.

This is then brazed on next.

Hold the burner over the ring and wait patiently for the wax to melt....

I asked the craftsman to turn off the fire at the right moment, and in no time at all, one short piece of bullion was connected in a round shape.

(Beware that if you put the distorted ring on your finger right here, it was going to be impossible to remove!)

This is where the hard work begins.

We also use the core metal to re-circle the ring into a beautiful round shape and adjust the size here.

The rings are stretched by striking them over and over again with great force. I felt the strength of silver in the ring that did not spread easily.

You can also do the surface treatment yourself.

I decided to use a process called forrester on half of the circle and leave the mirror surface as it is on the other half.

I use a special hammer and keep pounding until I am satisfied. Even if your arm hurts, you will pound it.

The finishing touch is polishing.

After polishing with a rheater, it is polished with a machine called a buff, shown in the photo, and becomes cleaner and cleaner.

The uneven flame that was created during the soldering process, which was not obvious, was carefully removed by the craftsman, and the piece shined up!

I can't wait to put it on my finger.

Here is the finished product.

The ring has become a ring with a different face depending on the surface it is shown on.

We are pleased with the tree-trunk-like forester texture and the mirror polish.

When I finished and looked at the clock, I was surprised to see that only two hours had passed.

The generous support and extraordinary experience made the two hours fly by.

I want to make a ring or bangle that is different from others!
