Croatia Travelogue] 8. Day trip to Hvar, an island of lavender

This is the eighth installment of the series,

Day trip to the lavender island of Hvar

The following is a report on the

Second day in the port city of Split.

I took a day trip to Hvar Island, about an hour by ferry.

When we reached the harbor, I was impressed...

The sea is so beautiful!

And mellow island time.

The transparency is so high that if there were no wave movement, it would appear as if it were floating.

While taking a stroll,

The next goal was the fortress, which can be seen in the far distance in the center of the photo.

It seems very far away in the picture,

Climb the stairs with a view of the city,

It is located at the top of a hilly walkway that winds its way up to a park.

Take a break on the bench in front of the fortress,

Further up.

Was it used in the past because of the remnants of a fortress? The cannon remained in place.

All roofs are a beautiful orange color.

It is similar to Dubrovnik, but the view from the fortress was absolutely lovely.

I wish I could have visited those little islands in the back...

Believe me, I'll be back someday.

This time, we will be relaxing on a beach on the island.

The transparency is lovely, though,

The luxury of using such a beautiful space for free... (although some places charge a fee)

It was a very enjoyable day trip to the island.
