Croatia Travelogue] 5. Day trip to Kotor in scorching Montenegro

Hello, I am Nakai, an Adan staff member.

Croatia, which I visited on vacation.

We have posted several travelogues. (Click here to read the previous post.)

This is the fifth installment of the series,

Day trip to Kotor in scorching Montenegro

The following is a report on the

I was staying in Dubrovnik for a series of nights,

Surprisingly small old town,

I suddenly had the idea to go away ・・・・ for a little change of pace,

I took a 1-day tour to/from the local area.â

A Hiace picked me up at my lodgings in Dubrovnik,

A very easy door-to-door trip to Montenegro.

Our guide was a beautiful blonde woman who spoke fluent English.

Overland border crossing.

The stamp on the passport was a car symbol.Â

Taking a break at a cafe on the way,

We then transferred to a boat.

We arrived at a small island with one association and a pothole.

The pink of the roses in the foreground, the light blue of the roof, and the blue of the sky were so beautiful.

~Marian Church on the Reef~.

In the 15th century, a ship with a local fisherman on board wrecked on this reef, and the fisherman caught the icon of Maria.

Legend has it that the reef was reclaimed and this church was built to worship this icon.

We will now take a boat to the other side of the river.

On the way, we saw a small island.

A short break on the other side of the river in a town called Perasto.

It looks beautiful in the picture,

I remember it was very hard because of the intense heat that made me sizzle and burn.

From there, a 40-minute boat ride pushes through the bay,

Arrive at destination "Kotor".

The old town is surrounded by diggings and walls and is not visible from the outside.

There were three entrances, and we entered the old town from the main entrance.

This is the castle wall you saw in the previous photo,

You can walk for free.

While walking along the city walls, I found a staircase,

A few tourists come down here and there.

I walked around at random, not knowing where it would lead.

You can see the harbor outside the city.

It was extremely hot that day, 40 degrees or so.

This summer, we have seen temperatures in Japan reach a maximum of nearly 40 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country.

The journey has just begun.

In the next issue, we will talk about Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Continue.
