Returning from a domestic trip to Ayers Rock, I decided to wander around the city.

One of the most impressive was the Museum of Contemporary Art, which offers free admission

The museum has a collection of over 4,000 contemporary artworks including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and Aboriginal art from Japan and abroad.

And the best part is the rooftop!

The MCA Cafe is attached to the terrace on the rooftop of the five-story building, where you can enjoy snacks and drinks with a wonderful view!

You can watch the ferries coming in and out of the harbor, and you can clearly see the Opera House beyond.

I went out on the terrace to have a quick look, and the street is just visible on the right half of the screen,

There was an oversized luxury cruise ship parked where the opera house should have been.

I couldn't see at all... crying

 

nevertheless

It is also nice to have a cup of coffee on a comfortable sofa!

Leaving the museum,

Just as we were walking, a luxury cruise ship left from in front of the Opera House.

The timing is absolutely exquisite.

 

That's how I spent a day in Sydney.

Today, the weather was mild and pleasant, unimaginable in typhoon-ravaged Japan... (faraway).
