This is Kubota from Adan Staff.
The summer heat has eased up...and Halloween is already almost upon us.
Every year I am amazed at how fast the year goes by when summer ends.
For what it's worth, though, pumpkin candy is delicious, it's fun to see the costumes, and I don't dislike Halloween,
I found a cute book at a bookstore.
Please note the author in the lower left corner.
Kenji Ozawa and the Japan-America Society for the Study of Fear
What the heck, ......!
For me, the moment I'm DIYing while listening to Ozaken on my day off is the happiest moment of my life.
It is a book that I am compelled to pick up.
What is the mysterious group, the Japan-America Society for the Study of Fear?It appears to be a team composed of three friends: an illustrator, a photographer, and a fashion director.
Ho-ho-ho, I was convinced as I read inside!
The illustrations are first of all outstandingly cute.
It also touches on how to make Halloween costumes, and there are cute costume photos at the end of the book!
And since Kenji Ozawa is in charge of the writing (composition), it is quite a good read.
Although it is a picture book in format with many illustrations, it is a "mmm-hmm" book like a collection of columns.
Above all, this person is very good at telling parables.
Listening to the MC on live CDs, I thought he explained difficult topics in parables as if he were explaining them to a child,
The book explains American culture in a way that is easy for us Japanese to understand, such as comparing Halloween to the Japanese Tanabata Festival.
I learned for the first time that when you meet someone in a costume, it is rude not to tell them, "Well, you are ......" and guess what kind of costume they are wearing.
On the topic of the masquerade, the story of Superman and a fictional mineral called "Kryptonite" was discussed.
Come to think of it, the superhero Superman's weakness is the green mineral "Kryptonite".
Kryptonite" has a color that is different from emerald, rather like peridot crystals,
If anyone is going to dress up as Superman, I recommend that his partner, the villain, have a peridot!
Halloween is getting more powerful every year, and I wonder what kind of costumes will overflow this year.
In the meantime, I'll spend the rest of the month aiming to eat lots of my favorite pumpkin pudding..................
