This is Kubota from Adan Staff.
I am currently working on remodeling my own ring.
Since I'm here, I'd like to introduce the production process and work on it steadily!
It is this ring that will be remodeled.
The ring was made in Italy as a gift, but it was old and had cracks and damage on the arms and could not be used in this condition.
But the stone seat is so beautiful that I really want to use it! I have been thinking about it for almost 5 years...and recently I finally started to fix it.
The damaged arm will be rebuilt and a new stone will be inserted to become a diamond ring.
First, separate the ring's stone seat from its arms.
I am a little nervous about modifying something that someone else has made.
After detaching the stone without scratching the stone seat, the next step is to make the part that will become the new arm.
I forgot to take a picture as soon as possible,
A tool called a roller is used to stretch the ingot into bars of the required size.
Once a good-sized board is formed, it is formed into a ring shape using a core metal.
To make the ring thicker at the top,
It is thicker and harder than a normal ring...!
I managed to mold it while softening it over a fire. Whoops!
The arm prototype is then completed by shaving and adjusting the sides and thickness to the desired point.
This was the end of the day's work.
I'll let you know when the rest of this work progresses...
